01 / THE CHARACTER
CLASSIC CHARACTER. TODAY’S MUSIC.
You miss it
when it’s gone.
In the late 1970s, rack chorus became a studio staple for the subtle sense of space it brought to music. Chorus Legend recreates the design philosophy behind those classic units.
Two independent left and right signal paths are modulated in opposite phase, counteracting pitch wobble and leaving a sense of spaciousness. You may barely notice it working, yet miss it when you switch it off. From a subtle presence to rich movement, the effect stays musical at deeper settings and holds together in mono.
The rounded frequency response of analog components and the texture of compression and expansion are recreated, too. The dry signal always passes through at full level, with the effect added alongside it. Even with a generous amount of chorus, the source keeps its body, surrounded by a silky sense of space.
THE ORIGINAL STAYS.
Keep the original.
Add width and sheen.
02 / DIMENSION MODE
FROM A HINT TO A SWELL.
Just choose
the depth.
Four modes give you four depths of the same character.
Choose a mode, then set the amount with MIX.
Listen to the music and find the setting that feels right.
MODE 2SHEEN
Start here.
Natural width with a touch of sheen. The standard mode makes it easy to find a depth that fits the song.
NATURAL WIDTH / SUBTLE SHEEN
MODE 3RICH
Let the sound bloom.
Bring depth and rich movement to a single ringing note or a full chord.
PIANO / ELECTRIC PIANO / GUITAR
MODE 4DEEP
Surrounded by movement.
The richest of the four modes. Sustained sounds open out with lush, flowing movement.
PADS / STRINGS / SYNTHS

01 / VOCAL
Vocals
A subtle sheen around the voice.
Add air around a vocal while preserving its definition and fine detail. Start with MODE 1 or 2 and raise MIX gradually. A width you only notice when you bypass it can be enough to bring the performance forward.
02 / PIANO & ELECTRIC PIANO
Piano & electric piano
Give notes and chords room to bloom.
Start with MODE 3 to add depth and body to keys. Width is added without reducing the dry signal, keeping the core of the performance intact beneath a layer of silky movement.
03 / PAD & SYNTH
Pads & synths
Bring sustained sounds to life.
The deeper modulation of MODE 4 brings slow, flowing motion to sustained sounds. Use MIX to move from a gentle background presence to a sound that surrounds the song. Rich width settles naturally into the music.
04 / MIX BUS
Mix bus
A final touch of sheen.
Insert it at the final stage of a finished mix and add a small amount of MODE 1’s delicate width. Start with the Mix Bus Finish preset (MODE 1 / MIX 25%) and adjust to suit the song. The dry signal passes through at full level, adding a finishing sheen while preserving the mix balance. Low frequencies stay dry, keeping the kick and bass clear.
